Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, preparing proposals, and securing contracts for engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, inspection, and other oil & gas services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore, and Energy sectors.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, industry events, and client visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand client requirements and coordinate with technical teams to prepare proposals and bids.
- Monitor tender portals and identify relevant RFCs, RFPs, and tenders.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, presentations, and business development reports.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful execution.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to company revenue growth.
- Maintain CRM records and prepare sales forecasts and reports.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical) or Business Administration.
- 3–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within Oil & Gas, EPC, Engineering Services, or Industrial Services.
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry operations and project lifecycle.
- Experience in tendering, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and online tender portals.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of EPC, Brownfield, Greenfield, Offshore, and Refinery projects.
- Strong client network within Oil & Gas companies.
- Ability to analyze market opportunities and develop sales strategies.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
