Overview

The study aims to assess the integrity and stability of the caisson foundation due to the installation of a new internal conductor inside the caisson.

Performed engineering studies as below:

• Literature Review,
• Develop a soil model based on the existing soil investigation data,
• Parameterization for FEM modelling, based on provided boring log and design parameters prepared for pile design,
• 3D Finite Element Method (FEM) stress simulations using Plaxis 3D will be performed to analyze the impact of installation,
• Estimate caisson foundation capacity after installation of the new conductor,
• Generate p-y, t-z and q-z curves based on the foundation assessment for inputs in the pile-soil interaction analysis.
• Update the TNAG SACS inplace model incorporating updated p-y, t-z and q-z curves and additional loads due to new infill well inside caisson.
• Run inplace analysis and evaluate the impact of new infill well inside caisson to the overall structural integrity including caisson stability.
