Plaju Refinery Unit III

Overview

The ru III complex has a combined crude oil processing capacity of approximately 180,000 barrels per day (BPD), comprising 110,000 BPD at Plaju and 70,000 BPD at Sungai Gerong. The refinery processes a wide range of domestic and imported crude oils to produce transportation fuels, petrochemical feedstocks, and specialty petroleum products that support Indonesia's growing energy demand. Continuous modernization and revamping programs have enabled the refinery to maintain reliable operations while meeting increasingly stringent product quality and environmental requirements.
 

Characteristics


Strategically located near the Musi River, the refinery benefits from well-developed marine facilities, storage terminals, and pipeline networks that facilitate crude oil receipt and distribution of refined products throughout Sumatra and other regions of Indonesia. The refinery also incorporates petrochemical facilities, including a polypropylene plant, enabling the production of both fuel and non-fuel products and enhancing the overall value chain.
