Overview
The development of Wanam Port in Papua aims to improve regional connectivity, support local economic growth, and strengthen integration into national and global trade routes. Key upgrades include the construction of deep-water berths, cargo terminals, storage facilities, and transport links to inland areas.
The project also involves dredging, modern cargo handling equipment, and improved customs facilities to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround times. As part of Indonesia’s “Tol Laut” initiative, Wanam Port’s modernization will enhance maritime access, lower logistics costs, and promote sustainable development in Papua.
